Privacy notice
How we handle personal information on this website. Last updated 27 October 2026.
Who we are
Devincam is the responsible party for personal information collected through this website. You can contact us about privacy at enquiries@devincam.com or on 067 121 4769.
What we collect
When you submit the demo request form
What you would like (a call, a demo or help choosing), the solution you are interested in, the kind of business you run (or “prefer not to say”), your first name, how you would like us to reply (WhatsApp, a phone call or email) and the number or email address for that, and when the form was submitted. We do not ask for your business name, address or budget. A notice beside the send button explains that we use these details only to reply to your request.
When you use the missed-call calculator
Nothing. The calculator works entirely in your browser; the numbers you type are not sent to us or stored.
When you use the chat assistant
The chat assistant is optional. Your messages are sent to our workflow automation tool (n8n) and answered by an AI model from Anthropic, which processes them on our behalf. The conversation is linked to a random code stored in your browser for this visit, not to your identity. If you choose to give your name, email address or phone number, they are saved as an enquiry and emailed to our team so we can follow up. Please do not share sensitive information such as ID numbers or banking details.
When you use the live voice demo
The live demo is optional and starts only when you press “Start a live demo call”. It uses your microphone. What you say is converted to text and answered by an AI voice agent run by ElevenLabs, our voice provider, which processes the conversation on our behalf. Audio is not recorded. The text transcript is kept by ElevenLabs for 30 days so we can check the demo is working, then deleted. Calls end after 3 minutes.
If you choose to give your name, email address, phone number and what you need during the call, the agent passes them to us so we can follow up. Please do not share ID numbers, passwords, banking details or health information. The agent does not need them.
When you contact us directly
If you email, call or WhatsApp us, we receive the details you share in that conversation. WhatsApp handles those messages under its own privacy policy.
When you visit the website
Like any website, our hosting provider processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. Our form endpoint uses your IP address briefly to limit repeated submissions.
This website does not use analytics, advertising pixels or tracking cookies, and it does not set cookies. Fonts are served from our own website, not from a third party.
Why we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and arrange a demo or consultation.
- To prepare a proposal if you ask for one.
- To keep the website secure and working.
We do not sell your information, and we do not add you to marketing lists without your separate consent.
Is it voluntary?
Yes. You do not have to give us any information. Without a way to contact you, though, we cannot reply to your enquiry.
Who processes it for us
Your request is passed from our website to us through service providers: our website host, and our workflow automation tool (n8n), which forwards each request to our inbox or business systems. If you use the chat assistant, Anthropic processes those messages through n8n. If you use the live voice demo, ElevenLabs processes that conversation. They process it on our behalf and only for that purpose. Some of these providers may process information outside South Africa. Where they do, we use providers that apply appropriate safeguards.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details only for as long as we need them for the purposes above, including any business relationship that follows, and then delete them.
Your rights
Under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) you may ask us what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. You may also object to us processing it. Contact us using the details above.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa at inforegulator.org.za.
Changes to this notice
If we change how this website handles personal information, for example by adding analytics or a chat assistant, we will update this notice first and change the date above.
